Trackwork

NEW PLYMOUTH TRACKWORK                                  Markers Out 16m

On a perfect track bordering on a Dead 4 it was quite a busy morning.

Time honours on the morning went to Euka Lady and unnamed Swiss Ace from the Dravitzki stable. They galloped strongly over 1000m, the last 600 in 35.7.

Collins Street had Waisake as a partner as they galloped 1600m, the last 600 in 38.2.  Collins Street didn’t have much luck last start.  The Millar pair Tinkalicious and Jakkalbomb ran 1000m, the last 600 in 37.1.  It was a sound gallop.

From the Wheeler Barn, Vencedora and Lord Have Mercy worked over 2 rounds before speeding up to run the last 600m in 37.5.  Both are very fit.

Monkey Shoulder galloped with an unnamed Cape Blanco stablemate.  They ran 37.3 for the last 600m of their work.  Trainer Allan Sharrock was upbeat by the close second of Monkey Shoulder’s last start and is confident of his staying prowess.

Koko Belle was partnered over 1000m by an unnamed Niagara stablemate.  They ran the 600m in 37.4.  It was sound work.

Rock Ya Sox and Abacus ran a strong 1000m, the last 600 in 36.8.  Roc Ya Sox went a great race last start and heads to Te Rapa on Saturday.

The following all worked solo over 1000m with their last 600m time in brackets. Wynthorpe (36.3), Smokin Hot (36.8), Red Forest (36.3), Whenarrymetsaddle (38.7).  Both Wynthorpe and Red Forest could surprise in the next few starts if they get track conditions to suit.

Valentia was partnered by Keltic Rockstar over 1000m, the last 600 in an impressive 36.5.

Regal Rock and Who’s the Boss ran 1000m, the last 600 in a steady 38.2.
