Tuesday 20th March 2018
Course Proper. Track Good 3. Markers Out 1m.

Another quiet morning at Pukekura Raceway on a grass that was conducive to good times.

Hoist galloped 1200m, the last 600 in 36.2. It was strong work and the equal fastest last 600m of the session matching the time recorded by with Eyes Wide Open and King’s Vee, who also worked very well.

From the Wheeler stable, Vencedora and Yardstock worked a solid 1200m, the last 600m in 37.2 whist stablemate Mendoza and Adequacy did similar work, the last 600 in 37.6. Mendoza in particular has come on well.

The final solo gallop was Joyride, who ran an even 1000m, covering the last 600m in 37.2 seconds.

The Rob Patterson team all worked around on the sand, printing the last 600m. The time honours went to Vincent and Hi Yo Bozo who clocked 38.1. Last start winner, Smoken Hot clocked 39.7, the same time as the speedy Fascino Lass.

The final pair to gallop were Woodbine Lad and Regal Rock who recorded 39.8. Woodbine Lad may be Riccarton bound.
