After his brilliant second in the Telegraph, Kawi was let off with an easy 1000m, the last 600m in 37.9. He will be very hard to beat in the WFA at Te Rapa.

Hoist ran 1200m solo, the last 600m in 37.5. It was a great run last start and a win is looming.

Pownce was partnered by Realm over 1000m, the last 600m in 36.8. Pownce is due to go to Hawkes Bay on Friday.

Ladies First was partnered by King Vee over 1000m, the last 600m in 37.6. Ladies First has the Auckland Cup in its long term goal.

Malibu Miss was partnered by Cape Blanco in the Don Caskey team. They worked over 1000m, the last 600 in 37.7.

Heal B Jake worked solo over 1000m, the last 600m in 36.5. It was good work.

Horses from the Janelle Millar stable provided the quickest last 600m of the session. All ran 1000m, sprinting the final 600m. Koko Belle and How’s That Girl ran 36.1 seconds with Battle Kat and Pretty Reckless just slower at 36.2. It was pleasing work by the four of them.

On the sand, the Wheeler jumpers were out in force, working two rounds before running the final 600m. Heistheone, Macklemore, & Lion Red 38.7. Newstead and Fair Script 40.2.

Blanco Belle and Devi worked 1000m, the last 600m in 40.1. Blanco Belle shows strong promise and may be hard to beat on her home track on Saturday.
