Trackwork at Pukekura Raceway
Tuesday 24th October 2017
Course Proper. Track Dead. Markers out 23m

Many horses appreciated the perfect track conditions when galloping.

The Janelle Millar pair, Effectav and Hermanito, ran a strong 1000m, the last 600m in 36.9. Both look improved from their first up runs.

Kawi was partnered by Mihaul over 1000m, the last 600m in 37.0. He looks well and primed to return to racing soon.

Whispering again worked well, running home the last 600m in 39.8. A return to racing may be delayed due to a wide barrier on Thursday.

The Allan Sharrock pair of Fields Of Fire and Mars Bar ran an easy 600m in 40.9. Woodbine Lad and Fascino Lass worked over 800m, the last 600m in 39.9. Fascino Lass will be suited by the 1100m trip on Thursday.

Light Em Up was partnered by Hard To Be Humble over 1000m, the last 600m in a quick 37.4. Both are holding their form well.

Turncoat and a Batchelor Duke gelding ran a solid 1000m, the last 600 in 38.1. It was good work by the Batchelor Duke to keep up with the well performed Turncoat.

Time Bomb and Tinkalicious were paired over 1000m, the last 600 in 37.7. Time Bomb is close to a win if he can get anymore heavy tracks.

Malibu Miss worked solo and wasn’t after time when running 600m in 40.1. She is getting closer to race fitness.

Hoist, Tellyawhat, and Limbo Street also worked alone running home the last 600 of their work in 38.2, 40.7, and 41.0 respectively.

Keepario was paired with a Guillotine in the Patterson Barn running the last 600m in 41.9. Keepario debuts on Thursday, and shows ability, but may be better suited over a longer distance.

Rosewood was partnered by Mastercourtsman over 1200m, the last 600m in 39.1. It was sound work.

The remainder worked on the sand. Times for the last 600m were Vencedora and Alamacpherson 38.6, Westport Quay and Cashel 39.7, and Smokin’ Hot 39.1.
