Trackwork at New Plymouth Raceway

Wellington Cup favourite, Waisake, worked a quiet round, before galloping 2000m with Torque Time, the last 600m in 36.9. He is fit and strong and even with the weight is a worthy favourite for Saturday.

The enigmatic Pure Incanto again worked super with Shezabelter, running 1000m, the last 600m in 36.2 seconds. Pure Incanto won well at the Stratford jump outs and will be winning on race day soon.

Douglas Black and I’m Ronaldo worked strongly over 1600m, the last 600 in 37.0. This was a good effort by both.

Last start winners, Bold Bette and Star Of Australis, ran 1000m, the last 600 in 36.9. They were well held.

Beaudzwell and Chief Sequoia worked evenly over 1200m, the last 600 in 37.9. Beaudzwell is close to resuming.

Maiden, Winkle Bay, did well to keep level with Barney Rubble over 1000m, the last 600 in 37.7.

South Road and Eddie Wood did similar work in identical time to the previous.

Time honours of the morning went to classy 3YOs, Shamus and Yeaboi. They went 1000m, scorching over the last 600m in 35.5.

Quality gallopers Sinarahma and Our Hail Mary did identical work, home slightly slower in 35.7.

Castle On The Hill ran 1200 in company with Tsunami, the last 600 in 37.9.

Stablemates, Blackeyed Sue and Shocking Bill, worked evenly over a round before sprinting 600m in 37.8. it was a good gallop.

Showus Mercy and Purring Away ran a sparkling 1000m gallop, home in 36.3. It was a good effort by both.

The final gallops were all solo over 1000m, with 600m times in brackets.

Legally Blond (37.4), Hilary Banks (37.7), Nom de Plume (37.0). Hilary Banks looks an early maiden winner.
