Trackwork at New Plymouth Raceway

With persistent rain throughout the night and session, the track deteriorated into the Heavy range.
Time honours of the morning went to Justaskme and Tavi Mac who strode over 1000m, the last 600m in 38.3. it was a great piece of work.
Unbeaten 3YO, Shamus, also impressed when running 1000m in company with Sumi, the last 600m in 38.8. Shamus is very promising.
Although slower, Coventina Bay looked ready to resume when working 1200m with Bold Bette, the last 600m in 40.1. Bold Bette did well for a maiden.
The Adams pair, Keen To Run and Shelby ran 1000m, the last in a sound 39.8. Keen To Run won well last start and will a force over holiday racing.
Our Hail Mary, in company with Alhambra Lad, ran 1000m, the last 600 in 39.5. They were well held.
From the Millar team, Pure Incanto and Shezabelter ran a solid 1000m, home in 39.5. Pure Incanto has ability.
The Bolton paid Douglas Black and I’m Ronaldo galloped a strong 1200m, home in 39.7. it was a pleasing gallop.
The Millar pairs, Dream Machine and Tequila Spirit, did identical work as Ginger Snapz and Revelry, the second pairs time of 39.1 for the last 600m was slightly faster.
The final gallop was a solo 1000m, by Liquid Les, the last 600m in 38.5. He is ready to win a maiden.
