The Ian Adams pair, Keen to Run and Aratoka completed a rousing 1000m gallop, the last 600m in 36.9. Both worked very well.

Time honours of the morning went to the speedy Catsacharmer and Darci La Bella, who ran 1000m, home in 36.3, which was a good effort.

From the Millar team, Ginger Snapz and an unnamed Rip Van Winkle / Cherry Bomb ran 1000m, the last 600 in 36.4. It was a good effort all round.

Douglas Black was paired with I’m Ronaldo over 1000m, the last 600 in 37.5. Douglas Black went great at Hawera first up and looks an early winner.

Barney Rubble , who missed out on a run at Woodville, ran 1000m in company with The Fearless One, the last 600m in 38.7. Barney Rubble will be a chance on his home track on Friday.

Pure Incanto and Zola Express ran a strong 1000m, the last 600m in 36.8.

Allambra Lad and Shamus did identical work, home in 36.5. Shamus is coming to hand well.

Quality mare Sinarahma was partnered by Our Hail Mary over 1000m, home in 36.7 without being extended.

Shezabelter had an unnamed Falkirk / Elyzabeel as a companion over 800m, the last 600 in 39.9. They were well held.

Wellington Cup winner, Waisake, had Wicked Romance as a galloping partner over 1000m, the last 600 in 37.0. Waisake is also coming to hand well.

The unnamed Complacent / Hi Yo Sue galloped in company with an unnamed Echoes of Heaven in the Patterson barn. They ran 38.5 second for the last 600m of their work.

The final gallopers were all solo over 1000m, with 600m times in brackets.

Power Of The Kitty (36.8), Littlehoovesgotmooves (39.9), Madam Sass (38.1), Winkle Bay (36.5), Kiana Belle (37.6), Cya Maria (40.1), and All That Jazz (37.1). Winkle Bay looks ready to resume.
