Tuesday 19th October 2021

Course Proper | Track Slow | Markers 24m

Quickest 600m of the morning went to Total Sass and Lord Donovan, who ran 38.2 after galloping 800m. Lord Donovan went a great race first up and looks an early winner.

The quality pair Aricina and Justaskme ran a strong 1000m, the last 600 in 38.6. Both were revelling in their work.

Eddiewood and stablemate, Bold Bette, ran an even 1000m. Home in 39.1. Both are likely Woodville entrants.

Zeefa Zed and Tsunami galloped 1400m, the last 600 in a respectable 40.2. Zeefa Zed had no luck at Hawera and will be a big chance if he gets his favoured heavy track in the next few weeks.

Songsungblu and Lorde Have Mercy ran an even 1200m, the last 600 in 41.2. They too may head to Woodville.

Stablemates Tequila Spirit and last start winner, Zola Express, ran 800m, the last 600 in 38.4. Zola Express looks good for a promising Spring campaign.

Ginger Snapz and an unnamed Mongolian Khan, out of Te Hana, sprinted 600m in 38.9. It was attractive work.

Irish Flare and The Big Boss worked over a round sprinting the last 600m in 42.0.

Pure Incanto and Sheezabelter galloped from the 800m, speeding up to run the last 600 in 38.4. This was a sharp gallop.

Keen To Run was joined by Two Minutes To Heaven. The sprinted 800m, the last 600 in a quick 38.4. It was good work.

The final gallops were all solo over 1000m, with 600m times in brackets.

Spanish Harlem (39.3), London Express (39.6), All That Jazz (39.5), Littlehoovesgotmooves (40.9), Gobuyit (41.2), Penelope Cruz (40.0), Reliable Miss (39.8). In particular, All That Jazz was cruising.
