Course Proper. Markers Outside 12m. Dead 

Kawi enhanced his Haunui Classic prospects on Saturday with a rousing gallop on a course proper, which was on the worse side of dead, with markers out 12m. Kawi and impressive last start winner Skoota Brown went over a strong 1200m the last 600 in 36.10. Kawi has benefitted greatly from his last start 5th in the NRM Sprint and will strip a far fitter horse for Saturday’s race. Skoota Brown also starts at Otaki and continues to thrive in his work.

Ze One and Rhiza, nominated for the R65 1400m at Otaki, paired up over 1000m with the last 600 in 38.25.

Hoist, nominated in the R65 1400m at Otaki and On Debut worked over a 1000m, finish their gallop strongly, the last 600m in 37.25. Hoist looks particularly bright at present.

Mars Bars and Malo Bik worked stylishly over 1000m with the last 600m in 37.

The Janelle Millar trained Lovethefeeling went strongly over 1000m, covering the last 600m in 38 even. The mare contests the 3 and 4yo 2100m at Otaki on Saturday.

Lady Style also contests the R65 1400m at Otaki, and paired with Almosta impressed over 1000m, working home strongly together the last 600 in 37.25. Lady Style has trained on since her last start second at Te Rapa.

Stablemates, Pouralita and How's That Girl, worked over 1000m in good style, running the last 600m in 37.87 seconds.

Hard To Be Humble had Time Bomb as a companion over 1000m, finishing the last 600m in 38.25.
