Trackwork at New Plymouth Raceway

Course Proper. Markers 18m. Track Slow
After overnight rain, the track was in the slow range.
The powerful Sharrock stable was in the forefront this morning. Quality mare Our Hail Mary worked strongly over 1200m, in company with Reliable Miss. The last 600m in 38.1. She looked to be cruising.
Stablemates, Just Ask Me, and Darci La Bella did similar work, home quicker in 37.7. It was the fastest of the morning.
Another pair who looked to work very comfortably were Lite Da Fuse and Rhuzick, who ran a solid 1000m, the last 600 in 38.2.
From the Revell barn, Meila Rei worked with an unnamed Shocking, the last 600m in 41.1. Meila Rei is nearing a return to racing.
From the Millar barn, a Falkirk, an Atlante, and Cherry Bomb worked together over 1000m, the last 600m in a respectable 38.4.
Stablemates Smarty Pants and an unnamed Proisir did similar work, home slightly slower in 38.6.
The final gallops were all solo over 1000m with 600m times in brackets.
Total Sass (39.1), Hi I’m Nikita (40.2), Rosewood (40.06). All three looked in fine fettle for their winter campaigns.
