Looxlikeapro was paired with Suntributer over 1000m, the last 600m in 40.4. Suntributer was a game second first-up and should be competitive on Saturday.
Swiss Kitty and Total Sass ran 1200m, the last 600m in 41.0. Both should also be sound chances on Saturday.
Rosewood relished the heavy loose track conditions, running 1200m, the last 600m in 39.9. Rosewood goes to Rotorua Saturday week. Recent riders have been commenting she is looking for more ground.
Batchelor Babe and Our Fair Trade ran 1200m, the last 600m in 41.4. Batchelor Babe is adept in wet ground and is improving.
From the Millar barn, Diogenes and Rhuzick galloped 1200m, the last 600m in 40.9. Diogenes goes well at New Plymouth and is a realistic each way chance on Saturday.
From the Sharrock barn London Express and Just Ask me were together over 1200m, the last 600m in 40.2. it was a strong gallop.
Arincina and Gerda ran 1200m, the 600m in 41.0. They are both in form and appeared to handle the track OK.
2Yos Catsacharmer and Yeaboi ran 1000m, sprinting the last 600 in 39.9. They give trainer Allan Sharrock a strong hand in the Ryder Stakes Saturday week.
The Wheeler team all worked on the sand.
First to go were Remarx and Roc Ya Sox, who worked over 1400m, the last 600m in 37.5.
Slightly faster were Zeefa Zed and Ballina who did identical work, home in 37.2.
Chief Sequoia ran 1400m, picking up Beaudzwell at the 800m, running the 600m in 36.8. This was a great gallop.
Pinsk and Shocking Bill also galloped a strong 1400m, home in 37.3. Both are in good form.
Tsunami also ran 1400m, picking up Sweet Karma at the 1000m, the last 600 in 37.2. Both were travelling well.
The Big Boss and Redgum worked over 1600m, starting slowly, but building up speed to run the last 600m in 38.6, whilst Black Eyed Sue and Irish Flare galloped a round, the last 600m in 39.1.
