Trackwork at New Plymouth Raceway

Tuesday 15th December 2020

Course Proper | Markers 12m | Track Dead 4

Busy morning with holiday racing just around the corner.

Keen To Run ran 1000m, with an unnamed Jimmy Choux/Fuar. They sprinted the last 600m in 36.3. Keen To Run has had no luck recently, but is ready to win.

Only slightly slower the Atlante/Shining Light and Tequila Spirit at 36.4 seconds. This was  great gallop.

Regal Ruby was paired with Winkle Bay over 1000m, the last 600 in 36.8. Winkle Bay is a half to Coventina Bay, and looks to have inherited some the family ability.

From the Patterson barn, Sir Caleb and Barney Rubble worked a strong 1200m, the last 600 in 36.3, equal quickest split. Both should show form over holiday racing.

Just as quick, were Jaxx Be Nimble and Saigon Hot Nights (36.3), after a strong 1000m gallop. Jaxx Be Nimble looks very forward to resume.

Quickest of the morning went to Tavi Mac and Taviattack who worked 1200m, the 600m in a rousing 35.2. Taviattack has worked well for several weeks.

The Wheeler team was at the track in force. Beaudzwell and Bubblegum worked 1400m, the last 600 in 36.9 whilst Remarx and Wicklow did similar work, home in 37.2.

Blackeyed Baz and an unnamed Rock N Pop in the Wheeler team showed a bit of dash working home the last 600m in 36.6. All the team appeared to work comfortably.

That’s Incranible was paired with Reliable Miss over 1200m, the last 600m in 37.0. Reliable Miss was a close second last start and appears close to a win.

La Strata and Zola Express worked 1200m, running the last 600m in 36.5 seconds. Zola Express is in sound form.

From the Revell team, Vincenzo Lorenzo worked with an unnamed Shocking over 1200m, the last 600m in 37.4.

The final gallops were all solo over 1000m or 1200m, with 600 times in brackets.

Malo Bik (36.7), Pounce (37.6), Gerda (36.9), Ekstrememiss (37.2), Regal Rock (37.0), Wicked Romance (37.8), Euka Lady (36.8), Melody Roxx (37.8). From the Sandy Dravitzki team both Euka Lady and Melody Roxx won at the recent Jump Outs and are ready to resume.
