Trackwork at New Plymouth Raceway
Tuesday 18th August 2020
Course Proper. Rail 3m. Track Dead.
With plenty of recent drying, the track provided excellent conditions for this time of year and as such times were excellent.
Time honours went to the well performed Tavi Mac who ran 1000m, the last 600m in 35.5. It was an outstanding gallop.
Stablemate London Express galloped with Collins Street over 1200m, the last 600m in 36.1. London Express will be hard to beat on Saturday.
The Wheeler pair Irish Flame and No Golf Etikit worked over a round before sprinting 600m in 37.3. Both are ready to win.

The Wheeler jumping team Kilronan, Mr Enthusiastic, Macklemore, Abacus and Cleaver completed two solid rounds to top off their preparation for Awapuni on Saturday. They all appear sound chances but have to take on the Myers juggernaut.
Zeefa Zed wasn’t after time when running 600m after a solid gallop over 1600m. He ran very well last start after pulling hard and is ready to win.
Keen to Run and Total Sass ran 1000m, the last 600 in a slick 35.7.

Their stablemates Power of the Kitty and Enchanted Lady did similar work, home in 38.2.
The final gallops were all solo over 1000m or 1200m with the 600m time in brackets. Herewego (37.5), Vinabeel (37.8), One of the Best (36.2), Secret Squirrel (37.1), Call Doubt (37.9), Hi I’m Nikita (37.8).
