Trackwork at New Plymouth Raceway
Tuesday 6th July 2021

Course: Sand Track, Condition: Good

Quiet morning with the sand only available.

Time honours of the morning went to Zeefa Zed, and The Big Boss, who strode over 1400m, the last 600m in 39.6. Zeefa Zed is close to a win whilst The Big Boss looked to have gone forward after his long odds victory at Otaki.

Dame Vera worked solo over 800m, the last 600m in 40.5. She was well held.

Shocking Bill and Irish Flare ran 1800m, the last 600 in a smart 39.7. Shocking Bill looks ready to win.

From the Hayward team Legally Blonde and Spanish Harlem worked a solo 1000m, the last 600m times were 39.9 and 40.2 respectively.

Sweet Karma and Chief Sequoia worked 1800m, the last 600m strongly in39.9. Chief Sequoia has proved a revelation in the hurdling caper and is likely to travel to Christchurch for the Grand National Hurdle.

The final gallop was 1400 by Pinsk and Tsunami, taking 40.8 for the last 600. Tsunami looks well after her first up third.

Brought to you by Powerworx Opunake Cup Day, Saturday 24th July at New Plymouth Raceway.
