Trackwork at New Plymouth Raceway

Tuesday 21st July 2020
Course Proper. Markers out 22m. Track Heavy.

Heavy, squally showers peppered New Plymouth Raceway and the track quickly turned extremely heavy. Times, although not recorded, were generally slow.

Last start winner, Cleaver, appeared to revel in the going when working with Kirkenes, who couldn’t keep up over 1400m. Cleaver runs again at Whanganui on Friday, and will be very competitive.

Enchanting Lady worked 1200m with Nogolf Etikit, and was a length ahead at the line. Nogolf Etikit is not a renown track worker.

Spondulix worked well with The Dissident, from the Bolton stable. They were strong to the line over 1000m.

Tavi Mac was the pick of the Allan Sharrock team, who worked over 1200m. He is well on track for the Merial at New Plymouth in September.

Others to work strongly form the Sharrock team were London Express and Connolly.

Whanganui contestants Zeefa Zed and Beaudzwell galloped 1400m with Zeefa Zed slightly stronger. Zeefa Zed was a great run last and is a good each way chance.

Brought to you by the next race meeting at New Plymouth Raceway;

Welcome Back To Racing, Friday 28 August.
