Trackwork at New Plymouth Raceway

Course Proper. Markers out 20m. Track:  Dead 4 after rain 

Time honours of the morning went to Cate Blanco who strode over 1000m, the last 600m is 35.9.  It was a sterling gallop.

The promising Our Hail Mary was partnered by Whodaboss over 1000m, the last 600m in 36.1. Our Hail Mary was unlucky first up at Trentham and will be very competitive over the New Year racing. 

Remarx, Beaudzwell and Wine & Dine worked together over 1000m the last 600m in 37.2.  Remarx won a recent jumpout and is forward to resume.

An unraced Keano was paired with an unraced Shocking from the Ian Adams stable. They sprinted a quick 600m in 36.4 after starting slowly at the 1000m mark.  It was good work.

The inform Tavi Mac was paired with Hoist over 1000m, the last 600m in 38.2. Tavi Mac is holding its form well.

From the Millar stable, Showmethebubbles and One Of The Best ran 1000m, the last 600m in 35.5.

Stablemates Mal Dee and Broadway Brawler did similar work, home in 37.2. Broadway Brawler should win a maiden over the Christmas/New Year period.

Collinstreet and Waisake continued their preparation for major staying races by working strongly over a round, the last 600m in 36.9.  Both continue to please.

La Strata was accompanied by an unnamed Shamexpress from the Millar Stable. They ran 1000m, the last 600m in 36.8.

Last start winner Dee Keepa was partnered by Shanghai Hot Nights over 1000m, the last 600m in 37.0.  After the win, the connections of Dee Keepa purchased a slot in the $101,000 Platinum Homes Summer Challenge to be run on Saturday 1 February.

Cleaver was accompanied by The Barman Pays over 1400m, the last 600m in 38.6. Improved runs by both these horses last start.

From the Wheeler team Natty Pager and Clonmel worked 1000m, home in 38.9. 

Judith Gardenia and Ashleigh did similar work, home slightly slower in 39.1.

The final gallops were all solo over 1000m or 1200m with the last 600m times in brackets. Aratoka (41.2) Here We Go (38.4) Regal Rock (36.2) Euka Lady (37.6) and Whenharrymetsaddle (38.5). Regal Rock in particular worked very well and has progressed on from its upset victory on its home track last start.
