Trackwork at New Plymouth Raceway
Tuesday 15th October 2019
Course Proper. Markers 20m.

Another wet morning saw the track again deteriorate to a Slow 9.

Only ten horses worked on the Course Proper, after many raced at Hawera on Saturday, or participated in their Jump Outs on Monday.

Time honours of the morning went to the smart London Express, who worked strongly in company with Gerda over 1000m, the last 600 in 38.7.

From the Millar stables, Broadway Brawler worked in company with a Shamexpress youngster, over 1000m. The last 600 covered in 39.1 seconds. This was a good effort.

Collinstreet had a Redwood youngster for company over 1000m, the last 600 38.9. Collinstreet looks in for a good campaign.

Secret Squirrel who has had no luck in recent starts worked solo over 1200m, the last 600 in 41.5. He is due a winning turn.

Stablemates Meila Rei and Extrememiss worked over 1200m individually running the last 600 in 46.6 and 44.1. Extrememiss is looking for 2000m.

Red Forest appreciated the cut in the tack when sprinting 1000m, the last 600 in 39.5, well capable of another win whilst tracks are wet.

Trackwork brought to you by TWILIGHT CHRISTMAS AT THE RACES, Friday 1st November.
