Trackwork at New Plymouth Raceway

Course Proper. Markers 22m. Track: Heavy
With heavy fog, many gallops couldn’t be timed accurately.
Rosewood appreciated the heavy loose conditions when running 1000m, the last 600 in 39.5. Whilst on the surface she has disappointed, it would be unwise to drop her when she gets a track she likes.
From the Sharrock team Justfixit and Ladies Man ran a solid 1000m, home in 40.2. Ladies Man is ready to win.
Aricina and All That Jazz did similar work, with a slightly quicker last 600m of 40.1.
The Wheeler team all worked over 1400m on the sand. Irish Flare and Redgum, the quicker pair, ran the last 600m in 39.4. Remarx and Wine N Dine were slightly slower at 39.6, whilst Wicklow and The Big Boss recorded 40.1. All worked strongly.
The final gallops were all solo over 800m or 1000m, except Legally Blonde, who worked 1200 with the last 600m 43.9 seconds, Exstrememiss (41.2), Batchelor Babe (40.3), Total Sass (41.2). Total Sass worked very well and is ready to shine.
