Trackwork at New Plymouth Raceway
Tuesday 19th February 2019
Course Proper. Track Good. Rail out 18m

Quiet morning on a fairly firm track despite irrigation.

Feature gallop of the morning were the Sharrock pair of Our Hail Mary and Malo Bik, who ran a strong 1000m, the last 600 in 35.6. It was first class work.

From the Millar stable, Ruby Love, Tinkerlicious, and Jakkalbomb did similar work home in 35.9. All are in sound form.

Roc Ya Sox and Irish Flare galloped a strong 1200m, the last 600 in 37.7. Roc Ya Sox blew a bit and appears unlikely to gain a start in the New Zealand Derby.

Quality mares Ladies First and Sinarahma were paired over 1200m, the last 600 in 36.6. Ladies First went terrific first up at Tauherenikau.

Whenharrymetsaddle worked solo over 1200m, the last 600 in 37.9. He does show sound ability.

Quaff was partnered by Cleaver over 1200m, the last 600 in 38.2. It was a good hit out.

Rhiza and Zaclaz worked over 1000m, the last 600 in 37.2. They worked pleasingly.

The last gallop was on the sand, the Patterson pair Aridity and Vincent, who strode over 800m, the last 600 in 40.6. Both look well.
