Taranaki Racing Awards – Horse Of The Year Finalists, Most Wins recipients, Legends Lounge Inductees
Taranaki Racing is excited to announce the finalists for the Taranaki Racing Awards Horse Of The Year
Each of the following category winners is a contender for the big award, which will be announced at the awards ceremony being held on Friday 14th September at Pukekura Raceway.
A real chance for the major prize must be Allan Sharrock with three horses in contention, London Express winner of the 2yo category, Kawi winner of the Sprinter/Miler category, and Ladies First who has taken out the Stayer category.
The other two finalists are the Marilyn Paewai mare, Rosewood who has won the Winter Galloper|Jumper category, and Blanco Belle, trained by Susan Rainford, who has taken out the 3yo prize.
In addition to the above guaranteed winners, prizes will be awards to Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman for the Most Wins at Pukekura Raceway by Any Trainer during the season, with Allan Sharrock taking out the Most Wins by a Local Trainer prize. Currently overseas, jockey Masa Tanaka as scooped the Most Wins by a Jockey prize.
The evening will also see three horses inducted into the Legends Lounge, La Mer, Rough Habit, and Shez Sinsational.
