Course Proper. Track Heavy. Markers out 2m

Having first use of the Heavy track saw Kawi, partnered by Art Deco, run easily the quickest last 600m, 36.9 after a solid 1000m gallop. Kawi has done everything right since his good run on an unsuitable track in the Tarzino.

Pentathlon, partnered by Cavalry, was another who looks great after his recent Hawkes Bay run. They ran a strong 1400m, the last 600m in 38.3.

Effectav continues her preparation for a return to racing when working well with Hard To Be Humble over 1000m, the last 600m in 38.6. Effectav is ready to resume once tracks improve a bit.

Red Rascal, a late nomination for Thursday, wasn’t after time running 42.1 for the last 600m. Red Rascal is in the first race and will get best use of a heavy track.

Thursday debutante, Our Milo, worked with Woodbine Lad over an easy 1000m, the last 600m in 42.9. Our Milo is a dual trial winner and looks hard to beat for trainer Rob Patterson.

The Millar pair of Time Bomb and Light Em Up worked an even 1200m, the last 600m in 39.2. Time Bomb will appreciate the heavy track on Thursday at the Linwood Park Spring Racing meeting in New Plymouth.

Mendip and Sublime Habit ran 1000m, the last 600m in 38.7. Mendip has been disappointing but won’t get many easier chances for victory than Thursday’s meeting.

Party Marty and Valencia worked over a 1000m, the last 600 in 40.1. Party Marty won’t mind the heavy track on Thursday.

The Bryce Revell pair of Coastal Drought and an unnamed Falkirk looked good, working an even 1000m, the last 600m in 39.5.

New York Minute appeared back at the track after a brief let up. Partnered by A Good Deal she worked an even 800m, the last 600 in 38.9. She is being aimed at the Rich Hill Stud Taranaki Breeders Stakes at Hawera in October.

The final pair to work were Rosewood in company with Fascino Lass with the last 600 of 1000m in 38.9. Fascino Lass is coming to hand well.
