Trackwork at Pukekura Raceway
Tuesday 1st August 2017
Course Proper. Heavy. Markers out 16m

Time honours went to Kawi who worked strongly over 1000m, the last 600m in 37.4. He is primed to return to racing in the Foxbridge Plate.

The good mare, Effectav, was paired with Hard To Be Humble over 800m. They ran the last 600m in 39.9. Effectav is coming to hand well.

Riccarton bound Heistheone worked with Pentathlon over 1200m, the last 600m in 40.1. Heistheone would prefer a not-so-heavy track.

Newstead and Ledbury did similar work, the last 600m in 41.8. Newstead is due a winning turn.

Mars Bar and Mihaul worked strongly, covering the last 600m of a 1000m gallop in 38 even. Was good time.

Call Doubt worked solo, as did Wynthorpe, both over 1000m, the last 600 in 38.1 and 38.9 respectively.

The consistent Time Bomb was partnered by Light Em Up over a steady 1000m, speeding up to run the final 600m in 38.4. A win for Time Bomb is close.

The Group III winner, Irish Flame, was paired with Mendip in a good 1000m gallop, the last 600 in 38.9. Irish Flame looks well.

The final two gallops were Fields of Fire and Valencia, and Vencedora and Macklemore. Both pairs worked over a steady 1200m sprinting the last 600m in 39.2 and 41.1 respectively.

BROUGHT TO YOU BY next race day at Pukekura Raceway, ITM Interprovincial Challenge, Saturday 26th August.
