Trackwork at New Plymouth Raceway

Course Proper. Markers 23m. Track Slow 9 

On a Slow 9 track, it was quite a busy morning with many preparing for Saturday’s ITM Interprovincial Race Day.

Art Deco worked well over 1000m, the last 600 in 39.5. Will be very hard to beat on Saturday.

Viva Lilli, from the Bolton stables also ran 1000m, the last 600 in 39.5, which equalled Art Deco as the quickest of the morning.

Last start winner, Hard To Be Humble, worked in company with Vinabeel over 1000m, the last 600 in 40.3. Will be very competitive on Saturday as well.

ITM Interprovincial candidate Call Doubt worked solo over 1200m, the last 600 in 41.8. Call Doubt saves its best efforts for New Plymouth, so he’s a sound long-shot chance.

The Millar stablemates, Tinkalicious and Ruby Love, were paired over 1000m, the last 600 in 41.2. it was attractive work.

Also from the Millar stables, Jakkifromthenaki and Shining Light, did similar work, the last 600 slightly faster in 40.1.

The Sharrock pair Beckidiboo and Tavi Mac galloped 1000m, the last 600 in 39.6. This was a good gallop.

Others to work individually over 1000m were Whenharrymetsaddle, Extrememiss, and Zeefa Zed with their last 600m in 42.1, 41.2, and 41.6 respectively. Zeefa Zed is a long-shot chance on Saturday.

On the sand, Cleaver and Rock Ya Socks galloped 1000m, the last 600m in 43.7 they are coming to hand well.
