Rosie Myers Benefit Race Day - Post Event Update

With money still coming in to Taranaki Racing for the Rosie Myers Benefit Race Day, held on Thursday the 3rd of December, Club CEO, Carey Hobbs, stated “We are already past $25,000, with the service to Ocean Emperor still to be sold, so it’s been a highly successful day.

As earlier reported, Rosie will be donating the funds to the Wellington Free Ambulance and Westpac Helicopter Trust and once she returns to her home, will work out the details and organise the donations to the recipients which are very close to Rosie’s heart after the expert aid she received after the nasty fall at the October Foxton Trials.

The sweepstake competition held on the day saw victory to the Saddlecloth No 11 which will see the Waikato Racing Club and LoveRacing each receive a corporate prize to New Plymouth races for a party of 20.

Second prize, kindly donated by the Canterbury Jockey Club, will see four corporate tickets go the the New Zealand Racing Managers Group, RACE, Poverty Bay and Counties, to be utilised over the Winter Cup Carnival in August 2021.
